EAST JACKSON — Investigators were back on the scene Friday morning of a suspicious house fire in east Jackson. Authorities say they responded to a house fire around 11 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of 159 Lealand Lane. Firefighters tell us when they arrived flames had already spread to the roof. Officials say they were looking Friday for specific burn patterns and possible igniters. No injuries have been reported, and we’re told the house was vacant. “The officer did note it seemed to be building materials in a pile up front, which suggest there may have been remodeling going on,” Fire Chief Max Stewart said. Stewart said damage appears to be a near total loss.
