Google helps West Tennessee businesses get online

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Small businesses across West Tennessee are getting a big boost from Google this week. The Tennessee Small Business Development Center and Google started their “Get your business online” tour in Gibson County Tuesday. The free event aims to help organizations boost their online presence. Organizers say they hope to have 500 small businesses online by the end of the tour. “It’s all about mobilization,” Maleia Evans said. “If we can’t find you on our phones we simply can’t find you.” The get your businesses online tour continues throughout the rest of the week in a number of West Tennessee counties. Oct 21 – Dyer County Trimble, TN 8:30 a.m. – 9:45 p.m. Dyersburg, TN 10:00 a.m. – Noon Newburn, TN 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Dyersburg, TN 3:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Oct. 22 – Crockett County Gadsden, TN 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Bells, TN 10:00 a.m. – Noon Alamo, TN 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Maury City, TN 2:15 – 3:00 p.m. Friendship, TN 3:15 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Alamo, TN 4:15 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
