Man accused of causing thousands in damage at Union City car wash

UNION CITY, Tenn. — Authorities in Union City arrested a man accused of causing thousands of dollars of damage to a local business. Investigators say Michael Young has been arrested for failing to report an accident after hitting a vacuum cleaner at a local car wash. Witnesses told police they saw Young’s Silver Jeep Wrangler hit the vacuum machine, then drive to a nearby gas station and take off. Investigators were able to identify Young as a suspect after reviewing the business’ surveillance video. The owner estimates the damage at $7,000.
