Police ID woman’s body found in Old Hickory Boulevard apartment

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police have identified a woman who was found dead Wednesday night in an Old Hickory Boulevard apartment. Police announced Friday evening that the Nashville Medical Examiner’s office identified the woman as 50-year-old Letitia Renee Hartshaw. They say the cause of her death is still under investigation. Hartshaw’s body was found in an apartment in the 900 block of Old Hickory Boulevard as police investigated the possible suicide of Dennis Lee Hurt, 52, according to police. Officers say they found evidence Wednesday in Muse Park that led them to believe Hurt may have committed suicide. When they went to conduct a welfare check at his last known address they found the body of a woman now identified as Hartshaw. Hurt’s body was recovered around 10 a.m. Friday from the pond in Muse Park, close to where a family member had last seen him Wednesday, according to police.
