Kmart, Sears locations in Jackson to remain open

JACKSON, Tenn. — As Sears announces which Sears and Kmart stores will be closing, there’s good news for local shoppers.

The Kmart in Jackson and the Sears in the Old Hickory Mall will remain open.

On the list to close is the Kmart in Corinth, Mississippi.

Sears currently owns Kmart and is trying to cut losses after slow sales. The company is closing 78 locations in late July.

The Corinth Kmart is set to hold a liquidation sale on May 12.
