Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Monday
Skies will remain mainly clear overnight with warm temperatures as we may only cool down to the lower and middle 60s by sunrise at 6:09. Cloudier skies will develop early Tuesday morning. Overall, we’ve had a nice start the week, but showers and thunderstorms will be returning for some of the days heading into the end of April and the beginning of May. One thing will remain relatively unchanged, it appears as though the warm weather is here to stay for the rest of the month!
TUESDAY
Under partly cloudy skies temperatures will warm up to the 80s again, some locations may even reach the upper 80s! However, there’s a slight chance for a scattered shower or thunderstorm from the later hours of the morning through the afternoon into the early evening. Locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning will be possible but severe weather looks unlikely.
WEDNESDAY
Out to our west, across the Central Plains, showers and thunderstorms ongoing from Tuesday will arrive in West Tennessee on Wednesday. Timing is still difficult to nail down, so we’ll have to be prepared for strong to severe thunderstorms during the morning, afternoon, evening, and potentially late at night. We’ll be able to get a better handle on when the storms will move in and develop in the area once they start to generate out west tomorrow. Main concerns will lie with a risk for damaging winds and large hail but an isolated tornado will also be possible, especially during the later hours of the day.
