Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Wednesday
Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible in West Tennessee tonight into early Thursday. Lighter winds and breaks in the clouds could result in some patchy fog across parts of the Mid-South for sunrise at 6:09 a.m. Thursday morning. Temperatures will be able to drop to the upper 50s and lower 60s as a result of those calmer conditions.
THURSDAY THRU FRIDAY MORNING
The cold front will push through West Tennessee tomorrow but it won’t be bringing air that is that much cooler. High temperatures may still reach the lower to middle 80s tomorrow under mostly sunny skies. The air will feel less muggy however, as dew points drop from the middle and upper 60s to lower 70s they are in now to the lower and middle 50s by Thursday night.
FRIDAY NIGHT INTO THE WEEKEND
The cold front that comes through tomorrow will return back into West Tennessee as a warm front on Friday. This means that showers and thunderstorms could return to parts of the Mid-South as early as during the afternoon on Friday. Saturday looks especially wet but it won’t be raining all day. Be prepared for scattered showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday. Right now the risk for severe weather appears low again but we’ll be monitoring the potential threats.
