Titans players meet fans in Downtown Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn.– Saturday the Titian Caravan started their week long tour of the mid-south, making one of their first stops in Jackson.
“This is historically one of if not our biggest caravan stops as we go all over the state, dip into Mississippi, Alabama and Kentucky,” said the Voice of Titans Mike Keith. “Jackson, Tennessee doesn’t take a back seat to any stop.”
Hundreds of Titian fans waited in line for hours at the farmers market downtown.
“It’s awesome,” said Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan. “Great opportunity to get out an see other parts of Tennessee and really meet with some fans and sign some autographs.”
The Titans mascot T-Rac, tackle Taylor Lewan and linebacker Avery Williamson signed autographs and even posed for the camera.

“Just to meet these players, its an really awesome experience,” said fan Jordan Sims. “I’m really excited with all the moves they are making, I’m just excited for football season to come.”
Although the caravan is about the fans, for Williamson who grew up in Milan, coming to West Tennessee is homecoming celebration.
“It feels great,” said Titans linebacker Avery Williamson. “I always get a lot of support coming back to Jackson. Being a part of this as a fan and now being a part of it as an athlete, it’s amazing.”
“People that can’t make it to the game can come over here and see him, and get to take a picture with him and just talk to him,” said Avery’s mother Jacinta.
“A lot of people like to get his autograph too, so they are able to get his autograph by coming to Jackson,” said Avery’s father Henry Williamson.
According to the voice of the titans, even though adults are some of the biggest Titans fans, these caravans are about impacting young fans.
“This is something they will always remember,” said Keith. “We want to give them a memory and hopefully make them titans fans for life.
The Titans Caravan began in 1998 and since then has made over 800 stops meeting more than 250,000 fans. Titans first game of the season is August 13 against the San Diego Chargers
