Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Tuesday
Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy tonight with a few isolated showers still possible – especially north of I-40. Temperatures will drop to the lower and middle 50s by sunrise at 5:48 a.m. Wednesday morning. Expect the cool weather to make a brief comeback across the region tomorrow. Warmer weather is on the way later in the week with a significant chance for rain on Friday.
WEDNESDAY
Tomorrow will be a mainly dry day with a few showers possible during the morning hours in southwest Tennessee. Though starting off mostly cloudy, high pressure will bring clearer skies from north to south as the day goes on. Expect high temperatures to be much cooler than today, topping out in just the upper 60s to lower 70s.
REST OF THE WEEK
While Thursday will feature a nice warm up with mainly clear skies and drier conditions, an area of low pressure will bring some significant changes our way on Friday. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible Friday morning, afternoon, and evening though the best chance for rain appears to take place during the first half of the day. Rain could be heavy at times causing most of West Tennessee to accumulate somewhere between a half and a whole inch of rain by Friday night. The weekend looks clearer with highs in the 70s and dry conditions.
There’s still time for Friday’s outlook to change so stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for the very latest updates to this forecast!
