Clarence Whitt, Jr.

Mr. Clarence Whitt, Jr., 79, of Union City passed away 8:44 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery. Jackson Doss will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be his family.

Clarence was born March 28, 1947, in Panther, West Virginia, son of the late Clarence Whitt, Sr. and Nancy Vonnie (Cline) Whitt. He married Brenda (Courtney) Whitt August 8, 1970. She survives. He worked for the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 20 years and was of the Baptist faith. Clarence was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War.

He is also survived by two daughters, Melinda (Steven) VanCleave of Martin and Melissa (Robert) Littlemyer of Union City; one son, Simon Whitt of Hickman, Kentucky; one grandson, Matthew Whitt of Murray, Kentucky; and one granddaughter, Kaitlyn VanCleave of Martin.

He was also preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
