Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Friday
Skies will remain mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping to just the upper 60s again. A few scattered showers will continue to be possible overnight but with the loss of daytime heating, there shouldn’t be any more than an isolated rumble of thunder overnight.
THIS WEEKEND
Saturday will be a wet day with off-and-on rain throughout the day. If you have any plans to do anything outdoors tomorrow, stay weather aware! While we certainly could get a few breaks in the rain at times in the morning and even during the afternoon, there’s going to be a possibility for strong thunderstorms again which could produce heavy rain leading to localized flash flooding. There’s a low risk for severe weather but damaging winds and large hail would be possible if any storms become severe. High temperatures will be limited to the 70s and lower 80s on Saturday.
Sunday morning, a cold front will be leaving the region allowing for skies to go from mostly cloudy in the morning to mostly sunny during the afternoon and evening. We might just see a few showers in parts of West Tennessee near the Tennessee River in the few hours after sunrise Sunday morning. Highs will be in the lower to middle 80s on Sunday with lower humidity!
NEXT WEEK
We might not get another drop of rain after Sunday until the following weekend! There will be warm weather with low humidity to start the workweek under mainly clear skies. That clear weather should last for most if not all of the workweek. Stay with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team for the very latest updates to this forecast.
Have a great weekend!
