Historic church holds scholarship pageant

JACKSON,Tenn.–The historic First Baptist Church hosted the 44th annual Little Miss Hub City scholarship pageant Sunday.

miss hub cityEleven girls, between the ages of three and twelve competed in three divisions.

Coordinators said the journey to the crown wasn’t easy. “It has been some struggle but we are proud that we have reached this milestone and we are just waiting to see what God has for us in the future,”Christine Hart, Pageant Co-Chair said.

The title of We Miss went to Camora Hunter, Savannah Adams was crowned Little Miss Queen.

The winner of a $500 scholarship and Junior Miss Queen title holder is Tameia Hemphill.

Entertainment at the pageant was  provided by members of the church youth group.
