Car crashes into Crump Methodist Church
CRUMP, Tenn. — One congregation is picking up the pieces after a car crashed into a local church Friday.
Officials who were at the scene this morning tell us that the driver of the vehicle fell asleep at the wheel and ran a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 64 and Highway 22.
The intersection is across from the church and the vehicle jumped the curb and slammed sideways into the front of the Crump Methodist church.
No serious injuries have been reported. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is treating this as a traffic accident.
