Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. Tuesday

Skies will become partly cloudy for some later this evening – especially for those near the Mississippi River and northwest Tennessee. Dry weather is expected overnight with temperatures dropping to the middle 70s for most by sunrise at 5:51 a.m. Wednesday morning. Even hotter weather is expected on Wednesday but a cold front will keep the heat wave brief when it brings temperatures down and a chance for rain to the forecast for the second half of the week.

WEDNESDAY
Another mainly dry day is expected for West Tennessee tomorrow with only a slight chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm near the Tennessee River. High temperatures are forecast to reach the middle 90s tomorrow with humidity making it feel like we’re close to 100°F at the warmest point of the day. Stay safe in the heat!

THURSDAY AND THE END OF THE WORKWEEK
A cold front will move southeast toward the Mid-South on Thursday increasing our rain chances. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected from Thursday through Friday with slightly drier weather on Saturday. Heavy rain could lead to isolated incidents of flash flooding with strong thunderstorms possible on Friday. Stay weather aware, and look for more updates to this forecast from the VIPIR 7 Storm Team!

Have a great night!
