Weather Update – 5:45 p.m. Monday
Isolated showers and thunderstorms popping up in West Tennessee are bringing some relief from the heat but only to a few places. Dangerous levels of heat and humidity are forecast for the area this week and weekend with only slight chances for rain through Sunday. A Heat Advisory is in effect for parts of West Tennessee for the rest of today and tomorrow.
TONIGHT
If any rain lingers into the early evening, it won’t be long before the showers dissipate. At the very latest, by sunset, we should be rain-free. Warm and muggy conditions are forecast for the night with temperatures in the lower to middle 70s by sunrise at 5:55 a.m. Tuesday morning.
TUESDAY
We’ll have a chance for more isolated showers and thunderstorms tomorrow between the late morning and afternoon hours but most of West Tennessee will likely remain dry. Temperatures will quickly warm up to the middle 90s again tomorrow with some spots getting close to upper 90s too. Temperatures will feel like they’re over 105°F at the warmest point of the day. Stay safe in the heat!
REST OF THE WEEK
Our forecast remains relatively unchanged every day afterwards with a slight chance for a passing shower or thunderstorm and dangerous heat and humidity. This pattern will remain the same through the start of the weekend before our weather gets a little “cooler” early next week. The hottest day of the week, right now, is forecast to be Friday with a high of 98°F.
