Students celebrate end of summer book club in Chester Co.
CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — This afternoon Chester County middle schoolers celebrated the end of their summer reading book club at the library. For the majority of the summer these students have committed to meeting weekly to discuss their likes and dislikes of the books. Today students given shirts from the friends of the library for being a part of the summer program .
“I say you know your teachers want you to read all summer and video games are ok sports are good but if you can’t read you’re in trouble,” Chester County Library Director Nancy Canada said.
After reviewing their last book of the summer and taking a picture the group ended the summer reading program with a pizza party. The Chester County library has hosted this book club since 2004.
