Hundreds come out for ‘Hitmakers & Harleys’ featuring Darryl Worley
JACKSON, Tenn. — A West Tennessee tradition brings out hundreds of music lovers.
Hardin County native and country music star Darryl Worley hosted his annual “Hitmakers and Harleys” benefit concert Tuesday night in north Jackson.
The evening of music included fellow songwriters who entertained the packed house to raise money for the Darryl Worley Foundation, which has raised more than $1.4 million for nonprofits across West Tennessee.
“It means a ton to me that we can still come to Jackson and do this thing and we have a great turnout,” Worley said. “And not only that, that they come with their pockets open and their hearts open. I mean, they come with generous hearts.”
Worley’s “Tennessee River Run” concert will be held in Hardin County Oct. 7 and 8.
