JPD investigating shooting that leaves three injured
JACKSON, Tenn.-Jackson police are investigating a shooting that sent three people to the hospital, Wednesday night.
According to Lt. Matt Hardaway, officers were called to the 20-block of Oakridge Drive around 8:35 p.m. amid reports of gunfire.
According to investigators, two of the victims were taken by private vehicle to an area hospital. A third victim, on the way to the hospital was stopped by police near the intersection on North Parkway and North Royal Street. That person was then taken by ambulance to the hospital. The other people inside the vehicle were interviewed by police.
Officers have not released information about the extent of the victims’ injuries.
As of late Wednesday, investigators said they were not searching for a suspect, but would not say if that means one of the victims is a suspect or if they have someone in custody.
No details of a motive had been released.
