TDOT worker hit, killed by vehicle in Crockett County

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — A Tennessee Department of Transportation worker was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday morning near Alamo, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The incident happened between 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Highway 54 off of Highway 412 near Alamo, according Lt. Cary Hopkins with the THP Memphis District.
TDOT had one lane of Highway 54 closed for construction when the flagman was struck and killed by a vehicle, according to the THP.
His name is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
