Weather Update: 7:30 PM Sunday

A line of broken storms pushed through the eastern half of the area this morning. Currently another line of showers and t’storms is moving through from the northwest. This could bring rounds of heavy rain, strong wind and frequent lightning. It’s pushing southeast through the area. Dyersburg, Alamo, Brownsville, Trenton are currently getting some rain. Bolivar looks to be getting some between 7:30 and 8:00 PM.

Current temps are only a few degrees warmer than they were yesterday and are mainly in the upper 70s to upper 80s. The feel like conditions, after you factor in the humidity, is about 5 to 10 degrees warmer.

Tonight, there is a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorms but for the most part things will remain calm. Skies remain partly cloudy and temps look to fall into the low 70s.

Tomorrow, you’ll want to keep the umbrella near by just in case you get stuck in one of those pop-up showers across the area. It won’t be a wash out day, but there could be scattered storms in nature across the area. Temps start to climb back up into the 90s for everyone. High are expected to reach back into the low 90s.

The rest of the week looks to be hot. Afternoon temps return to the low to mid 90s and feel like conditions return back to the triple digits by midweek. With the hot and humid conditions, comes the chance for those afternoon pop-up storms.
