Update: Woman in custody in Humboldt hit-and-run

UPDATE — A woman has been charged after turning herself in to Humboldt police.

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Officers are hoping the public can help them identify a woman they believe to be the driver who left a person injured after running them over in a parking lot.

Humboldt hit-and-runPolice responded just before 10 p.m. Tuesday where a person had been run over and left in the parking lot of a business on East End Drive, according to a release from the Humboldt Police Department.

The victim was transported to a Jackson hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, according to the release.

Police say the vehicle involved was a white Chevy Impala occupied by two white women.

The driver appeared to be a white woman in her mid- to late-twenties with dark hair and glasses, according to police.

Officers obtained an image of the woman they believe to be the driver from store surveillance video.
