Mustangs Dylan Johnson runs away with MVP

HUNTINGDON, Tenn — For week three’s most valuable player, the player who tallied up the most votes happened to be Huntingdon’s Dylan Johnson. He rushed for 70 plus yards with one touchdown and two catches for another touchdown. Johnson credits his success due to the work he put in when no one was looking and his line up front.

Head coach Eric Swenson said he could always see Johnson at the facility putting in extra work when it was not asked of him.

“I just think it’s hard work in the off season,” said Swenson.  “I mean the guys up here daily, you know he’s pushing butchers, lifting weights and doing things on his own.”

When I asked Johnson did he expect this, he responded quick and said he worked hard, he believed this should happen just because of the time spent in perfecting his craft.

This week Johnson will look to follow up that performance against the Milan Bulldogs.
