Update: 1 dead after late-night shooting in east Jackson
UPDATE — One person has died as a result of the shooting, according to police spokesman Derrick Tisdale.
Darius Austin was killed in the shooting that took place around 11:45 p.m. on Dupree Street, Tisdale confirmed.

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police investigate a late-night shooting in east Jackson.
Investigators say one person was shot around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Dupree Street.
Police say they don’t know the person’s condition.
They have no description of a suspect at this time.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
