Man charged in ATV hit-and-run in Mercer
MERCER, Tenn. — Patrick Logan West appeared before a judge Monday morning just hours after being taken into custody, accused in a hit-and-run that sent a man to the hospital.
Documents said they’d been looking for the victim to fight before the assault took place. Officers say they detected alcohol on West’s breath while taking him into custody.
Records show this isn’t the suspect’s first time being in trouble with the law. West has also faced charges through the judicial courts, including aggravated burglary and theft.
West was charged Monday with assault, DUI, failure to render aid, driving while unlicensed and failure to report an accident.
West is due back in court Nov. 8.
