TBI investigating ‘suspicious death’ in Benton County

BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking into a “suspicious death” in Benton County.

According to a Facebook post from the TBI, 55-year-old Timothy Ring was found dead Tuesday after being seen alive earlier that morning.

Authorities say his body was discovered near the Lower Big Sandy Road area.

TBI agents joined the Benton County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation at the request of District Attorney Matt Stowe.
