Man shot, killed on Crescent Avenue in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department reports that one person was killed early Monday morning.


The department says 34-year-old Jerome Huspon was found with gunshot wounds after officers responded to a report of a man shot on Crescent Avenue close to 1 a.m.

The department says Huspon was sent to a local hospital, but later died from his injuries.

Jackson police say that a juvenile relative was taken into custody not long after officers arrived at the scene.

JPD says it is not looking for additional suspects.

The department says the investigation is ongoing, and that additional information will be released when it becomes available.
