Quadruple murder suspect Austin Drummond files motion to represent self
LAKE COUNTY, Tenn. (WMC) – Accused quadruple-murderer Austin Drummond has filed a motion to represent himself, according to District Attorney Danny Goodman.
The request will be considered in court Friday.
Drummond is pleading not guilty to all charges related to the murder of four Lake County family members in July 2025: Cortney Rose, 38; Adrianna Williams, 20; Braydon Williams, 15; and James “Matthew” Wilson, 21.
Their bodies were found in Tiptonville, Tennessee, approximately 40 miles away from where Wilson’s seven-month-old daughter was abandoned in a Dyer County yard.

A judge appointed attorney Bryan Huffman to represent Drummond. Prosecutors are pursuing the death penalty in this case.
DA Goodman says it’s likely Drummond’s motion will be denied because any defense in death penalty cases must meet certain criteria.
