Rain Chances Hang Around Into Easter

Saturday Forecast Update for April 16th:

A stalled out cold front and a couple of disturbances will keep rain chances around through the weekend with mainly showers and a few weak storms at times. The more unsettled weather pattern will leave the area by Monday when we return to drier weather along with a slight warming trend.

TODAY:

Showers will return mainly late day as a disturbance dives southeast into Mississippi along the stalled out front bringing rain chances to around 30%. Highs will top out around 68 with light north breezes.

TONIGHT:

Showers and a few storms will be a little more likely with a 40% chance of rain. Lows in the mid 40’s.

EASTER SUNDAY:

A couple of hit or miss showers in the morning, otherwise, better chances for showers and storms late day with highs around 62. Chance of rain 20% in the morning to 60% by the evening.

The chance of rain moves up to around 70% chances of rain by tomorrow night. Tomorrow night will bring lows around 43 degrees.

MONDAY:

Better weather ahead Monday with skies becoming mostly sunny with highs around 64. Tuesday looks a little warmer in the upper 60’s with mostly sunny skies. A few pop up showers or weak storms look possible on Wednesday and parts of Thursday but a drier pattern looks to be setting up for the weekend.

FINAL THOUGHT:

Spring has officially kicked off here in West Tennessee, and another freeze in the next week or two seems highly unlikely. We typically get our last freeze around the beginning of April and I think that was the case this year as well, feel free to start your gardening. There will be more chances for severe weather though as we get deeper into Spring. So you need to stay weather aware to changing weather patterns and monitor the forecasts closely.
