Old Country Store to host unique Valentine’s experience
JACKSON, Tenn. — Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store is preparing to host a unique Valentine’s dinner experience.

The third annual Valentine’s Day three-course dinner for couples will be held from Monday, February 13 through Wednesday, February 15 at the 1837 Providence House.
Seatings for the three course dinner will take place at 5:30 and 7:30 each night, with reservations required.
The first course consists of the guest’s choice of:
- tossed salad consisting of a spring mix, strawberries, bacon, candied walnuts, shaved parmesan, cranberries and vinaigrette
- or roasted red pepper and smoked gouda bisque
The main course includes the guest’s choice of:
- roasted chicken breast with sun-dried tomato and white wine cream sauce
- or filet mignon au poivre cooked medium in cognac and pepper cream sauce
- or pesto crusted mahi mahi with lemon cream sauce

Either will be served with garlic herb mashed potatoes and roasted broccolini and carrots.
A selection of homemade desserts will also be available, including tiramisu, homemade village cake or smoked maple bourbon pecan ice cream served on a brownie.
Reservations must be made by noon on Wednesday, February 8. A full payment of $140 per couple will be due upon reservation, and guests will also select their main course at that time.
Seating options range from one table for two guests, to two tables for four guests. Seating is limited and tables will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
