Rockabillys: A Game of Their Own Coming This Summer!

The following is a news release from the Rockabillys:

Jackson, Tenn – On Tuesday Night, June 18, the Rockabillys will host and present a re-enactment of a big game between the Rockford Peaches and the Racine Belles, a tribute from the highly succesful movie, “A League of Their Own”.

A Game of Their Own Coming This Summer!

Two teams of women dressed in replica uniforms from the movie will play a seven inning baseball game.   The game will be played on our regulation professional field (60′ mound/90’bases) with wood bats, all replicating the famous games played in the AAGPBL (All-American Girls Professional Baseball League), which played from 1943-1954.

The Rockabillys are looking for 22-28 women who have been former softball or baseball players.  Potential players can use the link A Game of Their Own or visit the Rockabillys social media pages or website for access to links to express interest.  The minimum age is 18.

The Rockabillys look for this to be a uniquely fun and historial throw-back event.  Tickets for this event, as well as all Rockabillys 2024 game tickets, will go on sale March 4th.
