House fire in Chester County leaves family shaken

CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — One family is picking up the pieces following a house fire this afternoon.

Around 1 pm this afternoon, May 15, we received a tip of a house fire near the intersection of Plainview and Sweetlips Road in Chester County.

When our crew got to the scene around 3 pm, the fire had been extinguished and there were no fire crews remaining at the scene.

We spoke to the family impacted by the fire, who says it started around 12 pm from what they believe to be a faulty plug in a backroom.

They said Jacks Creek and McNairy Fire Department were both at the scene to put out the blaze.
