GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — One local sheriff could be facing charges for reasons that have not yet been determined.
According to sources, Gibson County Sheriff Paul Thomas could be indicted this week and be required to turn himself him to face possible charges.
We talked to Sheriff Thomas Monday morning who said he cannot comment, and he instead referred us to his attorney William Massey, who has not gotten back with us at this time.
We also made a visit to the Gibson County Clerk’s Office and Sheriff’s Office — neither of which had a comment to provide at this time.
We also reached out to the FBI, U.S. Attorney’s Office and the TBI to see if these agencies are involved in a possible case involving the sheriff.
This is still an ongoing investigation and we’ll share more details as they become available.
