JACKSON, Tenn.—One organization holds an important seminar focusing on the problems of youth violence in the community.

The Youth Violence Conflict Resolution Seminar was held today at the Westwood Community Center in west Jackson.

The event gathered the community to talk about the problems youth in the community face, whether it be of drugs, gun, or gang violence.

Attendees heard from community leaders, first responders and others to talk about solutions.

Organizers of this event say this event focuses on change in the community.

“What we’re doing here with the Youth Violence Conflict Resolution Seminars and we’re going to different communities, different schools, different community centers as here in Jackson, Tennessee to talk to some of the youth here about gangs, about drug addiction, just bring it to ’em straight, raw and uncut of what’s going on in the community and being a positive influence,” said Benzion Judah, Director, Youth Violence Conflict Resolution Center.

Leaders with the Youth Violence Conflict Resolution Seminar say youth are the future and that the organization is here to help lead them to becoming responsible adults.
