UPDATE (12/30/24): 20-year-old charged with arson back in custody after false social media posts
UPDATE: According to the sheriff department’s booking report, Pledge’s home address matched where we spotted TBI investigating a home on Thursday, August 15.
MADISON COUNTY MAN CHARGED WITH ARSON
Gadsden, TN – August 21, 2024 – [After] A month long investigation led by investigators with the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office and Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation an arrest was made for arson which damaged numerous mailboxes in our county.
Carson Pledge, age 20, has been charged with eight counts of arson which is a Class E Felony in the State of Tennessee. He is currently being held at the Crockett County Jail on a $100,000.00 bond.
This is an ongoing investigation and as new information develops it will be shared with you.
The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence.
The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
