Benton County couple charged with child sex crimes
BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — A couple in Benton County is being charged with alleged child sex crimes involving a relative.
Vince Roy Dykstra from Camden, who is 65, and his girlfriend Patty Ann Utley, a 57-year-old from McKenzie are facing alleged charges of sexual battery and trafficking for a commercial sex act involving a minor.

According to Benton County Sheriff’s Office, on August 20, a juvenile reported the couple to police for alleged inappropriate sexual behavior that had been happening between the juvenile and Dykstra that was set up by Utley.
The child had been staying with Utley, who is a relative. Dykstra is Utley’s boyfriend.
Utley is facing felony charges of alleged trafficking for a commercial sex act involving a minor. Dykstra is facing felony charges of alleged sexual battery of a minor.
Benton County Sheriff Ken Christopher said after the couple was reported by the juvenile, officers obtained warrants for their arrests.
Both were arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail on a $100,000 dollars bond.
Utley and Dykstra appeared in court before Judge Endland the next day, on August 21. Bonds were reduced to $75,000. Both Utley and Dykstra were bonded out on August 21.
The juvenile is no longer staying with Utley and an order was issued for no contact between either parties and the victim.
Dykstra and Utley will appear in Gibson County General Sessions Court on August 28 at 9 a.m.
