Annual Pride festival returns to the Hub City September 28
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Hub City’s annual LGBTQ+ Pride festival is returning this fall.
On Saturday, September 28, Jackson TN Pride will present two separate events celebrating the diversity that makes Jackson special.
They will be holding ‘Pride in the Park’ and ‘Pride After Dark.’
Taking place at Conger Park, Pride in the Park will feature an all-day DJ, live music, vendors, and food trucks.
The event will last from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and admission is $1 or a donation of your choice.
Later that evening, Pride after Dark will kick off at the Carl Perkins Civic Center.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and guests can enjoy a DJ, drinks by Buzzin’ and Bubbly, and a drag show.
“It is an 18-and-up event, and it’s ticketed. So you can buy tickets on eventbrite. Just type in Pride After Dark, it should pull up. And we’re so excited,” said Darren Lykes, event organizer.
This year, “Rupaul’s Drag Race” star Kylie Sonique Love will headline the show. Love competed on two seasons of the reality competition, taking first place on “Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6.”
While Pride in the Park is open to all ages, Pride After Dark is an 18-and-up ticketed event.
