Emergency crews respond to multi-vehicle accident
JACKSON, Tenn.— Tipster calls alert us to a multi-vehicle accident in Jackson.
Just after 4 this afternoon, we received several calls from WBBJ-7 Eyewitness News’ Tipsters that a possible five vehicle accident had occurred on the 45 Bypass at the intersection in front of the Old Country Store. We were also told that an Air Evac helicopter landed at the scene.
When our crews arrived, we witnessed at least three vehicles involved in a crash and witnessed an Air Evac helicopter taking off from the scene. There were multiple emergency vehicles present, including Jackson Fire Department, several JPD vehicles, and three ambulances. At least two wreckers had also begun to retrieve the damaged vehicles. While there, one ambulance exited the scene with sirens on.
Atlas One reported this crash as an ‘accident with injuries’ at Casey Jones Lane and Highway 45 Bypass.
At this time, we have no further details about any injuries, possible fatalities or as to what caused the accident.
