Madison County Commission’s STAR Teacher Grant recipients announced
JACKSON, Tenn. — Local teachers are being rewarded for their dedication to academics.
County Commission Chairman Mike Taylor joined Superintendent Dr. Marlon King Thursday night at the November school board meeting to award the latest recipients of the STAR Teacher Grants.
The Madison County Commission originally allotted $50,000 toward the initiative. This groundbreaking initiative is aimed at ‘Supporting Teachers’ Academic Resources’ otherwise known as ‘STAR.’ Several teachers were awarded $1,000 grants each, showcasing a significant investment in the professional development and resource needs.
