Arrive Alive Tour makes stop in Carroll County
HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — The Arrive Alive Tour brings drunk and distracted driving awareness to the Carroll County Technical Center.
This hands-on event is designed to educate young drivers about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving in a safe, impactful way.
Recognized as the nation’s top-ranked drunk and distracted driving awareness event, Unite’s Arrive Alive Tour includes the country’s only marijuana driving simulator.
Using high-tech simulation, participants experience the potential consequences of driving while distracted, drunk, or drugged, all without leaving the safety of a controlled environment.
“Definitely participate in this. It can be a real eye changer for somebody. It can change somebody’s life. And make the right choices,” said Keagon, student.
This event comes at a critical time. Tennessee recorded more than 178,000 car accidents in 2023, with more than 61,000 involving young drivers ages 16 to 25. Despite some decrease in overall accident numbers, teen drivers remain highly at risk.
