Family displaced following house fire

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local family is displaced following a late afternoon fire.

Around 4 p.m. Friday, our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters alerted us to a house fire. Our crew arrived on the scene on Westover Road and Lower Brownsville Road to find Madison County Fire crews working to contain the fire.

A family member of the victims shared with us on the scene that no one was injured and the people inside the house along with their pets were able to make it out safely.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
