West Jackson Baptist Church brings Nativity story to life
JACKSON, Tenn. — West Jackson Baptist Church held their live Nativity scene on Christmas Eve.
Upon entering their building, you could see characters dressed in costumes and even real animals behind an enclosure. The live nativity has been a tradition at West Jackson Baptist Church for many years. Young Adult Pastor Joey Cadden says they always have a Christmas Eve service to celebrate with not only their congregation, but the community.
The live nativity is a fun way for families, kids and visitors to engage with the church and learn about Jesus.
“Anytime you take something like farm animals from a place they don’t usually belong and you put them in some place like inside of a building that always kind of makes people smile. And it’s a great way to open conversation and share more about what this live nativity represents which is the birth of Jesus,” said Pastor Cadden.
The church also held a candlelight service Tuesday evening.
