Shiloh National Military Park celebrates 130th anniversary
SHILOH, Tenn. — One historic park celebrated a major milestone with a bang.
Multiple cannon firing demonstrations were held for the 130th anniversary of President Grover Cleveland signing into law the legislation creating Shiloh National Military Park.
Along with the cannon firings, they also had a ranger program. All scheduled events were opened to the public and were free to join.
“It’s exciting anytime you can get a ton of the public out on the battlefield especially for a special event like this. It’s always a fun time. There’s good energy on the park and it’s great to interact with folks that care about this place,” said Anthony Killion, park ranger for Shiloh National Military Park.
You can find the military park on 1055 Pittsburg Landing Road in Shiloh, Tennessee.
