Canvas and Cocktails offers creative fun in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn.—One local art studio offers a great way to unwind and have some holiday fun.
Jewels and Gems Studio, now located in Louvoy Studios hosts a unique way to spend an evening practicing your creativity and relaxing too.
Canvas and Cocktails is an event made for novices or experts that took place Saturday at 79 Federal Drive in Jackson.
Artists are given a sample piece of artwork to view and then can create their own unique versions.
There were two opportunities to participate with shows at 2 and also at 6 in the evening.
While the holidays can be a bit stressful for some, this unique social experience offers guests some time to express themselves and enjoy some down time with others.
“The only thing I need is you in the building. Come on in and have a good time. You might paint a little bit. You might sip a little bit. You might dance a little bit. You might even praise the Lord a little bit, I don’t know, but whatever the case may be you’re going to have a good time. We do teams, organizations, businesses. Anybody that wants to come in and set up a paint party at any time,” said Donneka Johnson, owner Jewels and Gems Studio.
Drinks and snacks were available during the event and the cost of tickets was $50.
