Jackson, TN — December 29th,2024— Lights Up! Theatre Co. is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of Mean Girls JR., a junior adaptation of the Broadway smash hit and beloved movie, Mean Girls. This exciting show will take the stage at Clayton Hall, 200 S Church Street, on January 17th at 7 PM and January 18th at 2 PM and 7 PM, bringing the hilarious, heartfelt, and colorful world of high school to life.
About the Show
Mean Girls JR. follows Cady Heron as she transitions from life in the African savannah to the concrete jungle of high school in suburban Illinois. Navigating friendships, frenemies, and fitting in, Cady encounters “The Plastics,” a trio of frenemies led by the queen bee, Regina George. As Cady’s attempt to infiltrate their clique spirals out of control, she learns the hard way that “you can’t cross a queen bee without getting stung.”
Filled with catchy songs, witty humor, and unforgettable lessons about authenticity and kindness, Mean Girls JR. is a must-see for audiences of all ages. This production showcases the incredible talents of our young performers as they bring this timely story to life on stage.
