TDOT: Update on major roadway conditions

JACKSON, Tenn.—We reached out to TDOT to check on the current status of road conditions and what, if any plans were in place for crews.

According to Nichole Lawerence, Regional Communications Officer for TDOT, they were out Saturday clearing up some final areas of need, and at this time have no further weather related road issues to tend to.

TDOT is responsible for making sure the interstate, major state routes, and medical areas are clear.

Of course, with any snow or icy weather event, it’s important to proceed with caution when traveling, especially after dark or in the early morning hours when melted snow or ice can refreeze on roadways.
