More local schools announce closures amid widespread illness

JACKSON, Tenn. — More schools have announced they will be closing due to sickness after some reported on Tuesday they will be shutting down for the rest of the week.

See the current list of schools that will be closing below:

• Bells City Schools (closing Friday)
• Bradford Special School District
• Chester County Schools
• Crockett County Schools
• Decatur County Schools
• Hollow Rock-Bruceton Special School District
• Jackson Christian School (main campus)
• McNairy County Schools
• Trinity Christian Academy

According to a Facebook post made by Alamo City School, they will remain open on Thursday, January 30.
