Autism Awareness Community Event coming to Brownsville April 5
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — Every April is World Autism Month!
Today, misconceptions of autism and the frequency in which people are excluded threaten access to the vital information, resources and support autistic people and their families need. This year for World Autism Month and beyond, join Haywood County as they present the Autism Awareness Community Event.
The event will be held Saturday, April 5th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at volunteer park in Brownsville. Be sure to come out and enjoy a day of fun celebrating autism awareness.
“If they want to donate, they can, but it’s more of, we have a lot of activities like face painting. We have horses. We have bounce houses. We’ve got paint for kids and adults. It’s gonna be prizes like, if you win from the activity that you are playing, you get to have slime, Play-Doh, it’s a whole bunch of stuff,” said Iesha Dixon, organizer.
This event is free and open to the public.
