It’s an annual high school baseball competition contributing to local families for Down syndrome awareness. More than 15 high school baseball teams from across the region came to the Rockabilly’s Stadium to participate in the week-long tournament.
Dancers from the Pat Brown School of dancing took the field Friday night for a special performance. This initiative began in 2018 and has now turned into a tradition.
“Ms. Pat’s dream was always to start a class that included everybody and so these guys are just helping make that dream come true,” said Kelly Bryan, teacher for Pat Brown School of Dancing.
“I love Pat Brown. I love to dance. I love to be in the class,” said Dylan Keith Rogers, dancer for Pat Brown School of Dancing.
The tournament spawned in 2018 as the result of a collective dream between three fathers whose sons have Down syndrome.
