Jimmy Ray “Jim” Tosh

Mr. Jimmy Ray “Jim” Tosh, 71, of Union City passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at his home.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Ararat Cemetery near Troy. Justin Beard will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Mobbs, Jacob Mobbs, Jarred Conway, Daryl Thornton, Donnie Amell and Benny Johnson.

Jim was born May 23, 1953, in Union City, son of the late Elbert Ray and Bernice Louise (Ashmore) Tosh. He married Brenda (Calhoun) Tosh August 3, 1990. She preceded him in death November 11, 2008. Jim had been employed at the former Superior Fireplace, Kohler and had recently retired from maintenance at The Waters of Union City. He served in United States Navy and was a graduate of Tennessee College of Applied Technology in McKenzie. Jim attended Bishop Street Church of Christ.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie Mathis (Curtis) of Union City; his son, Bruce Wiles of Troy; his sister, Brenda White of Union City; his granddaughter, Chelsey Conway (Jarred) of Dyersburg; three great grandchildren, Kaelyn Conway, Jack Conway and Annslee Smith all of Dyersburg; his nephew, Bryan Mobbs of Union City; two nieces, Brandy Flatt and Amanda White both of Union City; and 19 great nieces and great nephews.
