Trenton students, families take annual walk to school
TRENTON, Tenn. — Coordinated school health and the Trenton Elementary School P.E. department hosted a long-running annual event Tuesday morning.
The Teapot Festival “walk to school” event is a chance for students, along with their families, to spend time together, get out and enjoy the weather, and get some exercise while learning.
Students checked in at City Hall and walked half a mile to the school.
Along the walk, school staff, alongside Trenton Police, were present to not only ensure the safety of the community, but welcome students with high fives, waves and thumbs up.
Several parents and students said that this event is something they look forward to every year.
